Troubleshoot an empty, incomplete, or blocked scrape

Work through page access, source selection, pagination, and missing saved results.

Updated ·Clura 1.7.3

Before you start

  • The source website and Clura’s current result or error available for comparison.

Check access and loaded content

  1. 1

    Use a regular website tab

Chrome restricts extension access on pages such as browser settings and the Chrome Web Store. Open the actual website containing your data.

  2. 2

    Load the content

Let the page finish loading, reveal the intended list, and complete any website sign-in yourself. A challenge or access restriction can prevent collection.

  3. 3

    Refresh and reopen Quick Scrape

If the picker failed to initialize or the page changed, refresh the website and start a new preview. Check the list before continuing.

Check selection and pagination

  • Wrong columns or unrelated records: choose another detected list or pick the intended list on the page.
  • First page only: compare the Pagination mode with the website and pick the exact Next or Load More control.
  • A field disappears: check cleaning rules for sparse, constant, duplicate, or image columns.
  • A run stops: read its final status and inspect partial results before starting again.
  • Mixed bulk results: separate different page layouts and configure fields on a representative sample.

Preserve evidence and get help

Open Activity to find saved rows. Export useful results before using delete or Clear all. A missing local table cannot be recovered simply by reopening its old Results window.

Use Profile › Report Issue with the source URL, extension version, selected list and pagination mode, expected count or field, and the visible error. If the problem concerns exporting rather than scraping, include the cooldown or plan message.
