Clura 1.7.3

Read text from images on your device, process several images together, and turn recognized text into a table you can review and export.

New

  • Image to Text, on your device

Choose, drop or paste an image into Image to Text (OCR). Recognition runs inside the extension on your computer, without uploading the image to an OCR service. English text is supported in this release.

  • Read a batch of images

Add up to 50 images, with a maximum of 25 MB per image and 200 MB per batch. Images are read one at a time. Stop a batch and keep the results already processed.

  • Review text or a detected table

Copy recognized text, review the table detected from the image layout, or download TXT and CSV files. Batch CSV exports include the source image name. Downloads follow your plan’s export allowance.

Improved

  • Text layout and batch results

Recognized text keeps more of the image’s line spacing and layout. Batch results show an individual outcome for each image so you can review successful reads, empty results and errors.

  • Clearer OCR troubleshooting

Image to Text explains when your Chrome version is too old or the extension needs to be reloaded after an update. English-only recognition is stated alongside the upload controls.

  • Scrape progress and bulk extraction layout

Scrape progress indicators and the bulk extraction card fit more clearly within the side panel, including narrow layouts.

Fixed

  • OCR assets packaged with the extension

The release removes unused remote-library defaults from the OCR bundle. Its worker, recognition engine and English language data are included with the extension.

Chrome installs updates automatically. To check your version, open chrome://extensions, find Clura, and open Details. If an updated screen does not appear, close and reopen Clura.
