Open Clura and find the right tool

Learn the sidebar, choose a scraping tool, and understand what happens before your first download.

Updated ·Clura 1.7.3

Before you start

  • Clura installed in Chrome.
  • A regular website tab open.

Open the extension

  1. 1

    Load your source page

Open the page containing the records, contacts, or media you want. Let the page finish loading and close any dialog covering the content.

  2. 2

    Open Clura

Select Clura from Chrome’s extensions menu. Pin it if you want to reopen its side panel from the toolbar.

  3. 3

    Choose a tool

Use Home for Quick Scrape or Bulk extract page data. The sidebar also opens Activity, Email Extractor, Image Extractor, Video Downloader (Beta), Phone Extractor, and Image to Text (OCR).

Match the tool to your task

  • Quick Scrape turns a detected list or an individual record into table data.
  • Bulk extract page data visits a collection of Page URLs using fields selected on a sample page.
  • Email and Phone Extractor scan the current page. Image and Video tools find media resources on that page.
  • OCR reads image files or screenshots you provide, rather than visiting a website.

Before downloading

You can explore the extractor tools without an account. Downloading can ask you to sign in and checks your export allowance. Profile and Subscription show account and plan information.

Start on a small page, review the preview, and check the finished table before exporting. If Chrome prevents access to a browser settings page or the Chrome Web Store, switch to a regular website.
